A study conducted by the Directorate-General Translation of the European Commission, one of the world’s largest employers of translators, has revealed that employers attribute more importance to translators’ work experience than to a ‘university degree in translation’ when hiring translators. The ITC therefore contributes greatly to tailoring the master study programme for translators at the University of Innsbruck to the market’s needs. Our high quality standards ensure that we can easily integrate gifted students into the workplace. We help them acquire the necessary work experience for a successful career. This approach not only gives students some hands-on exposure; it also benefits our clients, as they can obtain services through the Junior Model without having to compromise quality.
